The Saint Vincent de Paul Conferences of St. Thomas More and St. Jerome parishes are organizing the second annual 2.8 Mile “Friends of the Poor Walk” on Sunday, September 25 beginning at 9:30 A.M. ((;00 a.m. check-n) in front of Town Hall. All parishioners of St. Thomas More and St. Jerome parishes as well as family and friends are invited to participate. A special 12:00 P.M. Mass will be celebrated at Saint Thomas More Parish on the day of the walk.

If interested, there are registration forms and pledge sheets at doors of both churches. Donations are greatly appreciated and are tax deductible. Last year, more than 200 SVDP Conferences across the country with more than 17,600 particpated in the Walk and a total of $1.4 million was raised.

All proceeds from the effort will directly benefit the needy served by the two St. Vincent de Paul conferences in Braintree and Weymouth.
